What does HBDI Pair Profiling tell us?
The HBDI Pair Profile is a 12-page report identifying potential areas of synergy and conflict between two people – under everyday conditions, as well as under stress.
Your Pair Profile provides valuable commentary on pair dynamics – along with specific tips and techniques for effective communication – and will help any two people prepare for successful interactions and long-term successful relationships.
Why use HBDI Pair Profiling?
Many productivity problems between two people stem from differences in their individual thinking preferences and approach to work. Too often this results in miscommunication, conflict, and ultimately poor performance.
Your organisations pays a real financial cost when two people are unable to work together effectively – wasted time and energy, poor work quality, flawed decisions, reassignments and restructuring.
Harnessing shared strengths, and taking advantage of cognitive differences, allows two people to work together to achieve results they never thought possible.
Who should complete a HBDI Pair Profile?
Pair Profiling can be used very effectively for three primary types of 'pair interactions'.
Induction Process – when we do not know each other at all, for example:
- new hire, new team member
- new partner
- new boss/leader
- new coach
- mentor
- Synergy
Critical Pairing – when we know each other and get along well, but would like to improve, for example:
- peer-to-peer
- leader and direct report
- team members
- coach and coachee
- mentor and mentee
Conflict – we know each other and have some issues to resolve, for example:
- peer-to-peer
- leader and direct report
- team members
- coach and coachee
- mentor and mentee
- facilitator and participant
How do we complete the HBDI Pair Profile?
Each person (eg manager and employee, or coach and coachee) first completes their individual HBDI Profile and has their results debriefed by a Herrmann Certified Practitioner.
The HBDI Pair Profile report can then be produced through one of our processing centres, or if you are an HTMS™ software licensee, through your own access to the HTMS system.
